Instant Money Maker

Although you're guaranteed to have success with this one, I don't recommend you open with it. If you do, have a doorman real close. You may get punched out. Find any stooge out there and tell him that you'll give him a dime for every quarter he can stand upright on the table. Now, at this point, hopefully he will take the bet and ask the bartender for change with the intention of placing as many quarters as he can on the table. The more quarters, the better it is for you. Remind him, as he's setting up his quarters, that you're giving him a dime for every quarter he stands up. Once he's finished, say 20 coins, remind him one final time "I'm giving you a dime for every quarter you can stand on the table."

Once he's done, you casually come along and scoop all 20 coins (total $5.00) and hand him $2.00 which is the dime for each of the 20 quarters he's stood on the table. Your net profit - $3.00. How long did that take? 4 minutes? Special note for our Canadian friends - You have a big advantage. Substitute the quarter with a toonie and the dime becomes a loonie. See you at the bank.
